UNIT 4:

CONTENT:

  • Primary - Intermediate syllabus knowledge in the chosen genre(s) for gender of choice

  • Set & unset sequences of movement at various stages of physical & cognitive development

  • Analysis of movement vocabulary & theory of technique in both genders

  • Appropriate teaching, communication & presentation strategies to effectively teach a range of learners, including those with additional needs

  • Technical and artistic quality of own performance

  • Choreographic skills and approaches appropriate for a range of ages & abilities

delivery method:

  • Online video tutorials for familiarisation and revision.  (All syllabus content is available online in video form accessible only to students on the course, to include demonstration, counting and key teaching points.)

  • 1 Sunday per month with DDE level teacher to learn syllabus content

  • 1 Sunday per month with Approved Tutor to cover all other required content

  • 1 Summer intensive course with Approved Tutor for exam preparation

  • 2 hour practical exam with ISTD examiner
